Riding in buses with Google
Permalink | September 26th, 2006Google has formed a partnership with select transit authorities to create their latest offering, Google Transit. This new service shows people how to get around by walking and using public transportation. It also offers directions, schedules and estimated travel times. Users type in their origination point, destination and time they want to travel, and the program tells them how to get from one place to the other using the bus system.
Google Transit is currently available in Honolulu, Hawaii, Tampa, Florida, Eugene and Portland, Oregon, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Seattle, Washington.
Is there anything Google can’t do?
