Universal Music hates you

Okay, Universal Music Group, the largest music label company on the planet, might not hate you quite as much as they hate technology. The CEO of Universal, Doug Morris, has just openly declared war on YouTube and MySpace, accusing both as being the largest infringers of artists’ copyrights on music videos. According to Morris, We believe these new businesses are copyright infringers and owe us tens of millions of dollars.
Tens of millions of dollars?! For what — music videos — which are essentially extended commercials which Universal pays networks like MTV to play in order to promote their artist. So instead of using these sites to further promote their artists — for free, mind you — they decide to take action against them. Idiots.
