Ah, Crikey!
Permalink | September 5th, 2006Unless you’ve been living in a cave for the past few days, you have probably already heard that Steve Irwin, better known as the Crocodile Hunter, was fatally wounded by a stingray while diving off of Port Douglas in Northern Queensland on Sunday. Steve was filming a new documentary titled, Ocean’s Deadliest at the time of the unprovoked attack. Police have already reviewed the footage and concluded that, There is no evidence that Mr. Irwin was intimidating or threatening the stingray, unfortunately Steve just happened to be at the wrong postion at the wrong time. The 44-year-old, who was outspoken in wildlife conservation and preservation, and probably inspired many people to follow a career in conservation, is survived by his wife Terri and two children, Bindi and Bob.
