It would seem as though some Sidekick 3 enthusiasts have determined that the magnet used to secure the flip screen is rather powerful — powerful enough to fully suspend a regular table knife when the screen is opened. When the screen is closed, they found that the magnet was still strong enough to suspend a fork.

This finding of course begged the question — what would this magnet do to a credit card? Apparently after briefly exposing a credit card to the closed Sidekick 3 it was determined that the magnetic strip on the card was completely erased. Credibility aside, adding at the bottom of the report that all users of the Sidekick 3 should ditch them and get a Treo is a bit suspect.
