Victoria Beckham black bra

Would you fly 500 miles to get your hair done? Victoria Beckham would. Victoria reportedly flew 550 miles, from Germany to the UK, for a haircut. Apparently she was furious after a photo of her taken last week made it look as though she was developing a bald spot. The former Spice Girl, who is in Germany watching her husband play in the World Cup, phoned her stylist asking if they could fly out, but ended up going to London for a new set of hair extensions. She wanted it sorted out before the Portugal game.

Buy an Enzo, get a girlfriend

Leila selling a Ferrari Enzo

Supposedly the story goes like this — Leila, a 26-year-old singer from Germany, is looking for love; but she’s not looking for just anybody. Besides being between ages of 40 and 58 (if possible), she’s also looking for a man wealthy enough to buy her Enzo — and then take her home with it. Bidding for the Enzo starts at €1.25 million (about $1.5 million USD). We always knew if you get the car, you’d get the girls, but this just takes that statement to a whole new level.

Jabra A125s Bluetooth adapter for iPod

Since Apple has been neglecting to add Bluetooth to the iPod, Jabra decided to take the matter into their own hands. The maker of the popular line of Bluetooth cell phone headsets has announced that they will be introducing the Jabra A125s Bluetooth adapter for iPods in August. The adapter fits most iPods and will allow you to listen to your music via Bluetooth headsets (which Jabra will also sell you – they suggest their BT620s model as the perfect companion). However, at $75 plus the cost of headphones, it’s a rather pricey add-on.

Bugatti Veyron 0-100-0 in 9.9 seconds

Bugatti Veyron

The Bugatti Veyron captured first place in Autocar’s annual 0-100-0 mph contest which featured 25 of the world’s fastest supercars. In a mere 2.8 seconds the 4,100 lb Veyron propelled itself to 60 mph and hit 100 mph in an staggering 5.5 seconds. The Veyron’s overall 0-100-0 mph time of 9.9 seconds put it ahead of the Suzuki GSX-R1000 superbike.

Not only is it faster than the Suzuki, but the Veyron creates more g-force at maximum acceleration than you’d experience in an F-16 jet fighter at take off or when skydiving. Now that’s impressive — vroom vroom.

Google Checkout

Google wants your money … and your credit card information, and your address, and your telephone number. After nearly a year of testing, Google has finally unleashed its new payment service, Google Checkout, which promises to make online shopping more convenient and give advertisers another reason to pour more money into the internet search leader. Although Google denies it, Google Checkout puts direct pressure on the current leader of the pack, PayPal.

Initially, Google’s aim is to make it easier and faster for people to buy products advertised on Google. However, with Starbucks and Buy.com quickly hopping onto the bandwagon, it will only be a matter of time until Checkout expands beyond the Google borders.

Madonna in NY Jessica Simpson in NY

Jessica Simpson has made Madonna’s Holiday a Public Affair. When Jessica’s latest single started making its rounds last week, it immediately drew criticism for sounding strikingly similar to Madonna’s 1980s hit. Jessica’s reps have responded to the accusations with, it is a fun summer single and comparisons to retro Madonna are flattering. That’s one way to laugh off blatent copying.

Before you buy, decide for yourself — here’s a mash up of Public Affair and Holiday.

Sona video player for BlackBerry

Crackberry BlackBerry addicts can rejoice, CanWest MediaWorks has announced that owners of the 8700 and 7130 can now download Sonaplayer, a video player for RIM’s ubiquitous devices. The player allows your BlackBerry to download and play video files. The catch, the media has to be encoded in their proprietary format — there has been no word on the ability ripping your own content. The other catch, the software is being currently being offered as beta — in other words, you should be prepared for it to crash your device.
