Pacha club heats up New York

Pacha, the legendary club that started it all in Ibiza, has opened its newest location in New York at last Friday night. The grand opening, however, was short lived. The 3,000 capacity club located on West 46th on the Hudson was shutdown by police only hours into their opening night because the street outside began to flood with nearly 2,500 people trying to get in.

“We had just as many people outside as we did inside,” said one officer trying to control the crowd. “We have to break it up.”

Clearly, the new club — which features dancers in bikinis gyrating in glass-enclosed showers overlooking the dance floor and waitresses serving drinks wearing nothing more than body paint — is a hit.

I think it’s safe to say that any club featuring (wet) girls dancing in bikinis and waitresses in body paint would be a hit; having a famous name is just icing on the cake.
