It sounds like Kelly has been dipping into brother Jack’s drug stash.
Ozzy Osbourne’s chubby daughter Kelly is planning to breath new life into her ailing pop career by copying Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue.
Osbourne is convinced she shares many similarities with the petite Spinning Around star, and hopes her recent shift towards Minogue’s favoured electro pop, will win her some fans.
She says, “I have learned lots about performance by watching old videos of Kylie.”
And she intends to rival Minogue’s status as the most perfect bottom in pop, with raunchy sex-themed videos.
She adds, “Sex really does sell, so I’ll be doing loads of that.”
Uh, yeah … I can see the similarities, can’t you?!

Please Kelly, for the love of all that is good in this world, spare us!

Wal-Mart is at it again, this time they are looking at ways to limit employee benefits. An internal confidential memo sent from M. Susan Chambers, Wal-Mart’s executive vice president for benefits, to the board of directors, outlines ways for the company to cut down on its health care spending and other employee benefits, while minimizing damage to its reputation.
In the memorandum, M. Susan Chambers, Wal-Mart’s executive vice president for benefits, also recommends reducing 401(k) contributions and wooing younger, and presumably healthier, workers by offering education benefits. The memo voices concern that workers with seven years’ seniority earn more than workers with one year’s seniority, but are no more productive.
To discourage unhealthy job applicants, Ms. Chambers suggests that Wal-Mart arrange for “all jobs to include some physical activity (e.g., all cashiers do some cart-gathering).”
If the proposed plan is adopted, Wal-Mart is expected to save $1 billion dollars by the year 2011.

Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corp. is developing a technology called galvanic vestibular stimulation — a sort of remote control for humans. Very basically, a small electric field disrupts your equilbrium in your inner ear and causes you to move in a certain manner to maintain your balance.
A special headset was placed on my cranium by my hosts during a recent demonstration at an NTT research center. It sent a very low voltage electric current from the back of my ears through my head — either from left to right or right to left, depending on which way the joystick on a remote-control was moved.
I found the experience unnerving and exhausting: I sought to step straight ahead but kept careening from side to side. Those alternating currents literally threw me off.
…
I felt a mysterious, irresistible urge to start walking to the right whenever the researcher turned the switch to the right. I was convinced — mistakenly — that this was the only way to maintain my balance.
The phenomenon is painless but dramatic. Your feet start to move before you know it. I could even remote-control myself by taking the switch into my own hands.
NTT claims they are developing this technology in hopes to enhance the reality of video games, but we all know their real goal is to enslave the planet.

Elmo and Mr. Incredible were arrested outside of the Mann’s Chinese Theater in Los Angeles last Wednesday for illegal vending and aggressive begging.
In plain sight of children and tourists, Elmo — or at least, a man named Don Harper in a knockoff Elmo costume — was arrested here by the Los Angeles Police Department. Elmo was taken down by a special task force created to combat a growing nuisance in the Hollywood tourist district: famous costumed characters who try to be photographed with tourists and sometimes badger them relentlessly for tips.
LAPD officers, posing as clueless foreign tourists in front of Mann’s Chinese Theater, also busted Mr. Incredible, the superhero from the animated hit “The Incredibles,” as well as a man dressed as the villain from the “Scream” movie franchise.
I don’t know what would be more disturbing to a kid, seeing Elmo arrested in front of you and having his head ripped off, or having Elmo harass you for money.

Rosa Parks, a black seamstress whose refusal to relinquish her seat to a white man on a city bus in Montgomery, Ala., almost 50 years ago grew into a mythic event that helped touch off the civil rights movement of the 1950’s and 1960’s, died yesterday at her home in Detroit. She was 92 years old.
Her death was confirmed by Dennis W. Archer, the former mayor of Detroit.
For her act of defiance, Mrs. Parks was arrested, convicted of violating the segregation laws and fined $10, plus $4 in court fees. In response, blacks in Montgomery boycotted the buses for nearly 13 months while mounting a successful Supreme Court challenge to the Jim Crow law that enforced their second-class status on the public bus system.

A Hong Kong man becomes the first person to be found guilty of piracy for distributing movies using BitTorrent.
Chan Nai-ming was found guilty of copyright infringement for distributing three Hollywood blockbusters using BitTorrent, said a court official.
…
Chan was released on bail of 5,000 Hong Kong dollars (US$641) pending a sentencing hearing scheduled for 7 November.
He had been charged in April for uploading three Hollywood blockbusters to the net - Daredevil, Red Planet and Miss Congeniality.
The Hong Kong government said the case was its first successful action against peer-to-peer file sharing. The maximum penalty is four years’ jail and a hefty fine.
The movie industry had started targetting BitTorrent networks last December by issuing lawsuits against server sites. This is the first known criminal prosecution.
