Soon after T-Mobile’s announcement that their US network is well on its way to being upgraded to EDGE, T-Mobile Europe made the announcement that their networks in UK, Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands will be upgraded from UMTS to an even faster version of 3G known as HSDPA.

This new network initially promises speeds of up to 1.8Mpbs, but can be upgraded to as high as 7.2Mbps. Meanwhile, back in the States we have to settle for a measly 100Kbps.
