A new generation of taggers

Graffiti Archeology is the study of graffiti-covered walls as they change over time. The project is a timelapse collage, made of photos taken at the same location by different photographers over a span of several years.

It seems, though, that tagging is now taking on a new definition. With the explosive popularity of RFID, a new breed of tech-taggers has emerged.

Everything from people, to clothing to cars are being outfitting with RFID tags. But as the tags begin infiltrating our everyday, confusion abounds over how they work, and what problems and advantages they will bring.

On the one hand, being able to keep an accurate inventory of and track items would be a god-send. However opponents argue that retailers and government could abuse the obvious “big-brother” aspects of the technology.
